Information on Vietnam’s market and 20,000 exporters is available for foreign traders via a new website, the Vietnam Export Portal (VNEX), officially launched Wednesday.
The new English language site at: www.vnex.com.vn was built by the E-commerce and Information Technology Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
It is grouped into four main themes.
They include a “News” section providing business news, an “About Vietnam” section featuring detailed information on the country’s history, culture, political system, legal document, and enterprises of each locality.
The “Useful Information” section provides information on investment projects, exchange rates, banking systems, law consulting companies, hotels and Vietnamese embassies as well as foreign representative offices in Vietnam.
Updated information on Vietnam’s trade ties with foreign countries is also available at the “World” section.
Foreign enterprises can also look up information and contact details of 20,000 Vietnamese exporters classified by business sectors at the “Business Directory” section.
“The website is built to eliminate intermediary steps, enabling foreign importers to buy goods from Vietnamese enterprises,” Pham Ngoc Khoi, an official at the Multilateral Trade Assistance Project III (EU – Vietnam MUTRAP III), a supporter of the information channel told The Saigon Times Daily.
“It’s a good chance for Vietnamese small and medium businesses to promote their exports and products,” he said. “It creates a fair playground because all exporters are listed on the website regardless of scope.”
Any business wishing to list on the portal can register at: support@vnex.com.vn.
