On January 9th 2020, the opening ceremony of gathering, inspecting and supervising services for import and export cargoes at Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD was solemnly held. .
Attending the ceremony there were Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tho, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Customs Department and Mr. Ngo Trong Phan, Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation, Chairman of Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD; Mr. Nguyen Nang Toan – Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation and representatives of Dong Nai Customs Department, Tan Cang – Long Binh Customs Branch; representatives of shipping lines, forwarders, import and export customers in the area and functional departments of Saigon Newport Corporation.
In order to reduce the cargoes handled at seaports in Ho Chi Minh City area and Cai Mep port cluster, the new services for import and export at Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD act as an important link. It is the “extended hand” of the above seaport system. Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD has cooperated with Dong Nai Customs Department, Long Binh Tan Customs Branch to build material facilities; prepare resources as well as coordinate with functional departments, member companies of Saigon Newport Corporation, putting the service into operation in early 2020. This is a confirmation for the development of logistics services chain connecting the whole system from the port to the ICD and vice versa, and diversify the services currently provided to customers and partners of Saigon Newport Corporation and Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD with the motto “Come to Saigon Newport, come to the best quality service”.
Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD is ready for deploying the service of gathering, inspecting and supervising for import and export cargoes and the deployment of this simple and convenient service will bring many benefits to parties involved in the service such as reducing costs, saving time for customers, shipping lines and helping to improve service quality for Customs agencies and Saigon Newport Corporation.
In addition, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD is completing the legal procedure to transform into Tan Cang – Long Binh inland port to provide more and comprehensive services, logistics services, warehouse services, and other value-added services; providing to customers, partners optimal logistics solutions, with reasonable cost, contributing to enhance company’s competitiveness, creating in-depth logistics developments in Southern regions.
