On the morning of July 17, 2024, CMIT was delighted to welcome ZIM FALCON, the first vessel on ZIM eCommerce Xpress service to the US West Coast. After just 12 hours berthing at CMIT, the ZIM FALCON was swiftly, safely, and efficiently operated and continued its journey.
ZEX is a reliable and dedicated service as it serves the e-commerce trade out of South China, offering a competitively priced shipping alternative to airfreight. Notably, the transit time from Cai Mep to Los Angeles is just 18 days, making it the fastest shipping route from Vietnam to the US. Vietnamese exporters, particularly those seeking reliable and superior transit times, will benefit from this unique service offering. The ZEX complements other best in class shipping services of ZIM calling Cai Mep presently including the ZIM 7 Star (Z7S), ZXB Express Baltimore (ZXB) and the ZIM Mediterranean Premium (ZMP) services. Given this footprint, Cai Mep and particularly CMIT where most of ZIM’s services call, is a growing hub for ZIM’s transshipment operations in the South East Asia region.
